VIA Entrepreneurship Forum Hosts Insightful Session on Competition Analysis & Marketing Strategies
Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) Entrepreneurship Forum successfully organized an insightful and thought-provoking session on โCompetition Analysis & Marketing Strategiesโ on 19th December 2025. The session was led by renowned Brand Guru, Nandita Khaire, Founder, BrandCell, UJA Global Advisory Pvt. Ltd., Pune.
The program offered entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and business leaders a comprehensive understanding of modern marketing frameworks, competitive positioning, and brand-building strategies essential for sustainable growth in todayโs dynamic markets.
Khaire emphasized that businesses must move away from commoditization, highlighting that price often becomes the biggest competitor when branding fails. She stressed the importance of defining the competitive frame of reference, explaining how repositioning perceptionsโsuch as shifting from โindustrial chemicalsโ to โperformance materialsโโcan create differentiation and long-term value. The concept of Blue Ocean Strategy was discussed as a means to avoid intense price-based competition.
The session also highlighted the significance of brand building in both B2C and B2B sectors, supported by real-world examples such as Tata Steelโs product segmentation and the โIntel Insideโ campaign. Key competitive analysis tools, including Porterโs Five Forces, benefit laddering, and competition mapping, were explained using practical industry examples.
Modern marketing essentials such as customer-centric strategies, digital-first presence, LinkedIn for B2B branding, WhatsApp automation, evolving SEO into Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), video content dominance, and AI-driven personalization were also discussed in detail.
Additionally, growth strategies based on the Ansoff Matrix were illustrated through case studies of Jio, Netflix, Colgate, and Reliance Industries, providing participants with actionable insights for business expansion.
Earlier, Dr Anita Rao, Chairperson of VIA Entrepreneurship Forum in her welcome address said todayโs session help industries to understand rivals, identify opportunities, optimize positioning, improve customer targeting, enhance innovation, and sustain long-term growth in competitive markets. Dipak Singh, Project Coordinator of the session conducted the proceedings and also moderated the session, while the vote of thanks was presented by Abhijeet Khandagale and also welcomed the speaker.
